What the directory is

The MyDoctor Directory lists doctors, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories and other care providers so that patients and professionals can find and contact them.

Where the information comes from

Unclaimed profiles are created from publicly available information, such as the United States National Provider Identifier (NPI) Registry published by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and official registers and lists that may be republished. We do not copy information from Google Maps or other websites whose terms forbid it. Each profile shows its source and date. Lists from data.gov.in are used under the Government Open Data License (India) and may be out of date; owners can claim and update them.

Import from Google Business Profile

A verified owner may choose to import their own business details from Google Business Profile. The owner signs in with Google and picks the location; we read only the public business details (name, address, map location, phone, website, hours, description and categories) once, copy them into the profile and do not keep access to the Google account. MyDoctor's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Duplicates and merging

When the same provider appears more than once, our team merges the profiles into one. Claims, reviews and details move to the profile that is kept, and the old pages forward to it.

MyDoctor Profile Score

Each profile has a score out of 100, shown as 1 to 5 stars: registration found in an official register (20), claimed and verified by the owner (15), address and map location (15), contact details (15), specialty and services (10), hours and online booking (10), about and languages (10), photo (5). 90 or more is 5 stars, 70 or more 4 stars, 50 or more 3 stars, 30 or more 2 stars, otherwise 1 star. The score measures how complete and verified a profile is. It is not a rating of clinical quality, skill, safety or outcomes, it is not a recommendation or endorsement, and it is not based on patient reviews.

Claiming a profile

Providers can claim their profile free of charge by sending proof (registration certificate, licence or official ID). We verify claims manually and may contact the provider. After verification the owner receives a private link to add details. Content added by owners must be factual and must follow medical advertising rules (for example the NMC Professional Conduct Regulations in India and state medical board rules in the United States).

Corrections and removal

Anyone can report an error. Providers can ask for their profile to be removed; we act on verified requests, usually within 7 working days, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable United States law. Listed providers are independent and are not affiliated with or endorsed by MyDoctor unless shown as a MyDoctor client. Names and trademarks belong to their owners. MyDoctor is not responsible for services provided by listed providers. Always confirm details with the provider before visiting. Not for emergencies.
