Questions

Frequently asked

Who is MyDoctor for?

Patients and families; doctors, clinics, practices and hospitals; pharmacies and labs; and companies that want employee health and travel services. We serve India and the United States, and accept clients from other countries on request.

Is the software really free?

For new clinics in their first 2 years of practice, yes: one doctor on the Free plan, no monthly subscription. MyDoctor receives 15% of the revenue you record in MyDoctor and you keep 85%, with 25% off every add-on and service. Like every plan, there is an onboarding fee of ₹5,000 + GST in year one (US$499 outside India) and a yearly account fee of ₹7,500 + GST (US$449) after that. See Pricing for your country.

What does the software include?

Appointments and online booking, OPD tokens, in-patient (IPD) and departments, visit notes with voice scribe, prescriptions with allergy and interaction checks, automatic follow-ups, labs, GST billing in India and revenue cycle management in the United States, care programmes with RPM devices, patient portal, telehealth, staff, compliance and reports.

Which care plans are there for patients?

Free for everyone, plus Chronic Care for long-term conditions, Preventive Wellness, Mental Wellness, Annual Health Review and Senior Care, including plans you can buy for parents in another city or country. Conditions apply: labs, medicines and visits are billed extra at actual rates.

What is a long-term (chronic) condition?

An illness that lasts a year or more and needs ongoing care, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid, heart or kidney disease, asthma or COPD. Chronic Care is planned care between doctor visits. It is not emergency care.

How do I download the MyDoctor App?

Open Get the app on your phone, tablet or computer and follow the steps for your device. MyDoctor installs from your browser on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows and Mac in a few seconds and updates itself. No app store needed.

Is patient data safe?

Data is encrypted, sign-in can use Face ID, fingerprint or two-step verification, and every access to a patient record is logged. MyDoctor is designed around the safeguards of HIPAA in the United States and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act in India.

What do the blue tick and "Visit verified" mean?

The blue tick means MyDoctor has checked the provider's registration documents. "Visit verified" means a MyDoctor team member has visited the address in the last 12 months. Neither is a rating of clinical quality; the MyDoctor Star assessment is a separate, paid on-site quality review.

Do you provide emergency care?

No. In an emergency call 108 or 112 in India, or 911 in the United States.
